Description: Wel-Cote Acousti-Spray/Acousti-Roll-On Texture is a high quality vinyl, white aggregate material designed for spray or roller application over interior gypsum board, plaster and concrete surfaces to produce acoustical type finishes.

Surface Preparation: Surface should be dry, clean and dust free. Use Wel-Cote Joint Compound to patch dry wall and plaster cracks and holes. Exposed steel beams, bar joists, reinforcing etc. should be properly primed to protect against rust. IMPORTANT! Dry wall compound, patched areas and surfaces of varying porosity should be primed with a suitable primer. Primer should be allowed to dry at least twelve hours. All forms of oil and efflorescence must be removed from the concrete and masonry surfaces before priming.

Mixing: This material is ready to use as it comes from the container. If any free liquid has separated from the compounds, re-mix before use. Do not add any other materials to this mix.

Application: Apply only to surfaces that are thoroughly dry and will not be exposed to moisture. Roll on or spray using a hopper type gun. Clean up with water.

Equipment: Wel-Cote Acousti-Spray/Acousti-Roll-On Texture should be applied with spray equipment designed specifically for the application of acoustical type finishes, or with a lambs-wool type paint roller, 7 to 9 inches wide, having approximately ½ inch nap. Contact your equipment dealer or Welco Manufacturing Company for proper spray information.

Finishes: Finishes are primarily formed by the aggregate in Acousti-Spray/Acousti-Roll-On and therefore only enough material for correct hiding should be applied. Excessive material or "pile up" is usually detrimental to drying and appearance of the texture. Over thinned material will lack proper hide.

Dry time: Allow 4 hours to dry, depending on thickness.

Coverage (approximate): Approximate coverage per 5-gallon pail of Wel-Cote Acousti-Spray/Acousti-Roll-On is 125-200 sq. ft.

Caution: In cold weather, a temperature of at least 50°F. must be provided during application and until texture is completely dry. If acceptable trade practices for application are not followed a failure will occur. Close container after each use. Always store material in warm area. Protect from freezing.

Limited Warranty: This product is warranted to be uniform and of the highest quality. Welco shall not assume any responsibility, directly or indirectly, for any loss caused by application of this product not in accordance with directions. All labor costs are excluded from this warranty. Welco liability under this warranty shall in no case exceed the purchase price of the quantity of Welco product used with respect to which damages may be claimed. All claims shall be considered null and void unless submitted within 30 days from date of alleged defect.

Architectural Specifications: Meets Class A Fire Retardant Specifications. Uniform Building Code Flame Spread Index, Class 5.
