Description: Wel-Cote Blok-Tex is a unique product designed for use as a texture seal coating for new or old walls made of dry wall or smooth plaster. Wel-Cote Blok-Tex is also an excellent filler for concrete, cement block and other porous surfaces. When used on walls and ceilings Wel-Cote Blok-Tex has excellent sealing qualities that equal the different porosities of finished joint compound and wall board paper face. Wel-Cote Blok-Tex may be used on both interior and exterior surfaces, but must be top-coated with a suitable latex or oil-based finish coat.

Surface Preparation: Surface should be clean, dry and dust free. Fill all cracks or large holes with a good cement or patching compound. Scraping and brushing down the surface before application is highly recommended.

Mixing: For brush or roller application no mixing is needed. To spray, reduce Wel-Cote Blok-Tex sufficiently with water to spray properly with available pressure. The higher the pressure, the less reduction required. Avoid over-thinning, as filling properties will be greatly reduced.

Application: Apply with a brush, roller or spray. For brush or roller application use material as supplied. May be applied by airless spray followed with a roller or brush to work material into the pores of the surface.

Finishes: Top-coat with a suitable latex or oil-based paint. On exterior surfaces this should be done within 24 hours.

Dry time: Wel-Cote Blok-Tex dries in 1 to 2 hours. Can be re-coated in 3-4 hours. Times vary depending on temperature and humidity.

Coverage (approximate): Approximately 75-150 sq. ft. per gallon depending on the porosity of the substrate.

Limitations: Wel-Cote Blok-Tex is not a waterproof finish coat product. Do not use in temperatures below 50° F. Do not apply over silicone type water repellents. On exterior surfaces, apply a suitable latex or oil-based finish coat within 24 hours.

Caution: Protect from freezing. Close container after each use.

Limited Warranty: This product is warranted to be uniform and of the highest quality. Welco shall not assume any responsibility, directly or indirectly, for any loss caused by application of this product not in accordance with directions. All labor costs are excluded from this warranty. Welco liability under this warranty shall in no case exceed the purchase price of the quantity of Welco product used with respect to which damages may be claimed. All claims shall be considered null and void unless submitted within 30 days from date of alleged defect.
