Description: Wel-Cote Ceramic Tile Adhesive is a multi-purpose tile adhesive used for water resistant adhesion of ceramic tile on both floors and walls. Wel-Cote Ceramic Tile Adhesive is non-flammable with a Class "A" flame spread rating. Wel-Cote Ceramic Tile Adhesive offers excellent bonding and easy water clean-up. Surface Preparation: Surface must be structurally sound and uniform. All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of wax, dirt, dust, loose/scaly paint and foreign matter. Large cracks, holes and recesses should be filled. Concrete floors must be fully cured and free of moisture, alkali and water pressure. Concrete floors subject to water pressure from ground should be tested. To test, place rubber floor mat or piece of plastic directly on dry floor and seal all edges with tape. Leave 24 hours and remove. If moisture or dark spots are present, this adhesive should not be used. Mixing: Wel-Cote Ceramic Tile Adhesive is ready to use, and requires no mixing. Application: Once tile lay-out is determined, spread adhesive evenly over surface using 5/32" notched trowel. Check open time by placing one tile and removing immediately. Adhesive should transfer evenly from surface to tile. Apply no more adhesive than can be covered during adhesive open time. Open time is reduced by using improper trowel or drying conditions (high temperature/low humidity). Immediately after spreading adhesive, press tile into wet adhesive with a slight twisting motion. Equipment: Use a 5/32" notched trowel to apply Wel-Cote Ceramic Tile Adhesive. Clean up with warm soapy water. If adhesive has set use mineral spirits or thinner. Finishes: Grout may be applied after Wel-Cote Ceramic Tile Adhesive has been allowed to thoroughly dry. Dry time: Allow 24 hours to dry. FCTA-583----------3½ Gallon--------------------39.5 Lbs. Caution: Never apply over wallpaper or uncured plaster. All adhesive, tile and surface area must be held at a minimum temperature of 70° for a period of 24 hours before application and 24 hours after. Store at room temperature with lid tightly closed. Limitations: Wel-Cote Ceramic Tile Adhesive should not be used to set soap dishes or grab bars. Use stronger, cement mix adhesives. Warning: Keep Out of Reach of Children. Do Not Take Internally. Avoid Getting in Eyes. Limited Warranty: This product is warranted to be uniform and of the highest quality. Welco shall not assume any responsibility, directly or indirectly, for any loss caused by application of this product not in accordance with directions. All labor costs are excluded from this warranty. Welco liability under this warranty shall in no case exceed the purchase price of the quantity of Welco product used with respect to which damages may be claimed. All claims shall be considered null and void unless submitted within 30 days from date of alleged defect. |
