Description: Wel-Cote Commercial Texture Paint is a white interior texture formulation that provides a wide range of attractive, permanent texture designs over wallboard or plaster. Special binders and sealers produce greater volume of texture per pound of dry material insuring easier texturing and more coverage. May be tinted as mixed or painted when dry.

Surface Preparation: Surface must be sound, clean and dry. Clean off any grease, soil or scaling paint, and completely wash off all calcimine or other water-soluble material such as wallpaper paste and glue sizing. Dense, slick surfaces should be dulled by sanding and/or priming. Large cracks, holes and other large imperfections must be patched using spackling compound. Stained surfaces and stubborn wallpaper paste should be treated with a sealer. Wallboard joints should be taped.

Mixing: Use a clean metal container. Use 2½ gallons of clean water to 25 lbs. of Wel-Cote Commercial Texture Paint powder. Less water is needed for heavy texture while more is used for light texture. Tints should be added to the water before mixing in Wel-Cote Commercial Texture Paint. Slowly add powder to water, stirring while adding. Stir until lump free. Allow to stand for 30 minutes, and re-stir before using. Mix only enough material to use in one day. In cold weather, water temperature can be increased to about 70° F, but do not use hot water. Wel-Cote Commercial Texture Paint is much thicker than ordinary paint.

Application: Work in a room that has moderate temperatures. Close hot air registers, and avoid drafts. Apply Wel-Cote Commercial Texture Paint with a roller for light textures, and a wide bristle brush for heavier textures. Paint a small area, allow 10 minutes set time and then texture the area before the material sets up, repeat. If two people are working, one should apply the Texture and the second follow doing the texturing.

Clean Up: Immediately clean splatters from woodwork, trim and floors with a wet sponge or cloth. Wash out brushes and tools with clean water immediately. Do not allow to set up in brushes.

Equipment: Attractive designs are created using many objects such as a paint roller, sponge, crushed paper, and whiskbroom. In fact, anything can be used to create a distinctive design or pattern.

Finishes: Wel-Cote Commercial Texture Paint can be finished smooth or textured to achieve the desired look. It can also be tinted with any latex paint.

Dry time: It is necessary for Wel-Cote Commercial Texture Paint to dry at an even rate in order to insure even color. Variations may be corrected by applying a thin coat of texture. Wel-Cote Commercial Texture Paint will dry to the touch in several hours.

Coverage (approximate): Wel-Cote Commercial Texture Paint will cover 8 to 20 sq. ft. per pound, depending on the type of texture and surface covered.

Finishing: Wel-Cote Commercial Texture Paint may be cleaned, but in areas that require severe washing, scrubbing, or repeated washings a good washable paint is advised.

Limited Warranty: This product is warranted to be uniform and of the highest quality. Welco shall not assume any responsibility, directly or indirectly, for any loss caused by application of this product not in accordance with directions. All labor costs are excluded from this warranty. Welco liability under this warranty shall in no case exceed the purchase price of the quantity of Welco product used with respect to which damages may be claimed. All claims shall be considered null and void unless submitted within 30 days from date of alleged defect.
