Description: Wel-Cote Floor Covering Adhesive is a multi-purpose, non flammable product that offers easy water clean-up, excellent bonding, easy spreading and has Class "A" Flame Spread Rating. Wel-Cote Floor Covering Adhesive may be used for a wide variety of floor coverings such as linoleum, vinyl sheet goods and vinyl tile. Also jute back, indoor-outdoor, high-density foam back and latex back carpet. (Not recommended for vinyl back carpet). It has good open time and excellent "tack" for holding material in place until it has set. Wel-Cote Floor Covering Adhesive may be applied over lining felt, dry concrete, sealed plywood, hardboard or particleboard on, above or below grade.

Surface Preparation: Sub-floor must be level, smooth, firm and free of wax, dirt, paint and foreign material. Large cracks and recesses should be filled with Wel-Cote Quick Fill, Latex Patch and Floor Underlayment or Rockhard or other suitable patching compound in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations. Test ground level concrete floors for moisture. To test place rubber floor mat or piece of plastic directly on floor and seal all edges with tape. Leave for 24 hours then remove. If moisture or dark spots are on concrete, this adhesive should not be used. When installing tile or foam back vinyl over existing floor, felt paper must be used as underlayment.

Application: Plan floor layout, measure and cut (according to manufacturer recommendations). Spread adhesive evenly over surface using proper trowel. Apply no more adhesive than can be covered during open time. Apply floor covering immediately over wet adhesive. Floor covering may be repositioned during open time. Periodically lift floor covering to check for adhesive transfer. Sheet goods and tile must be rolled in both directions with linoleum or other suitable roller. Carpeting should be pressed down with roller, 2 X 4 or other suitable object to remove trapped air.

Equipment: Apply Wel-Cote Floor Covering Adhesive using a 1/8" trowel for texture back carpet and an 3/32" trowel for vinyl goods and smooth back carpet.

Dry time: Allow adhesive to dry 24 hours before heavy use or wet mopping.

Coverage (approximate): Approximately 100 to 200 sq. ft. per gallon depending on type of floor covering.

Caution: All adhesive, floor covering and surfaces area must be held at a minimum temperature of 70° F. for a period of 24 hours both before and after application. Concrete floors that are subject to water pressure from the ground should always be tested prior to installation.

Limited Warranty: This product is warranted to be uniform and of the highest quality. Welco shall not assume any responsibility, directly or indirectly, for any loss caused by application of this product not in accordance with directions. All labor costs are excluded from this warranty. Welco liability under this warranty shall in no case exceed the purchase price of the quantity of Welco product used with respect to which damages may be claimed. All claims shall be considered null and void unless submitted within 30 days from date of alleged defect.
