Description: Wel-Cote RAPID-5 is a fast-setting, professional grade spackling compound for interior repair of cracks, dents, holes and imperfections in woodwork, plaster, drywall and above-grade masonry surfaces. RAPID-5 mixes to a smooth, lump-free blend that is easy to apply. Wel-Cote RAPID-5 sets in minutes with no cracking or shrinkage and shaves effortlessly. It dries to a white finish and can be painted almost immediately. Surface Preparation: Clean the surface to be repaired, removing all oil, grease, waxes, flaking paint and plaster. Do not use on plastic or metal surfaces. Mixing: Mix 2 parts powder to 1 part water. Cold tap water will result in a 4-6 minute set time. Warmer water will shorten the set time. Application: Apply RAPID-5 with a clean putty or broad knife. Press RAPID-5 firmly into recess and continue to smooth as material hardens. Use a knife wider than the patch to assure a level surface. Primer and/or latex paint can be applied immediately after smoothing the patch. Clean tools with water immediately after use Equipment: Wel-Cote Rapid-5 can be applied with a putty knife, paint scraper, broad knife or trowel. Finishes: The patch can be shaved to a smooth surface after a firm set has been achieved. If necessary, wet sand patch with a firm sponge. Patch may be dry-sanded after it has completely dried.
