Description: Wel-Cote Spackling Compound is a setting-type dry product formulated for interior surfacing and repairing prior to painting or decorating with wall covering. It can be used on all above-grade interior surfaces such as wood, drywall and plaster. It can also be used for decorative texturing. Surface Preparation: Surface to be repaired should be free of all dirt, oil and loose material. Mixing: Spackling Compound should be mixed at a ratio of 8 oz. of water per pound of powder. Do not mix more material than can be used in 60 minutes. Application: Apply Spackling Compound directly to the clean surface to be repaired. Equipment: Wel-Cote Spackling Compound can be applied with a putty knife, broad knife or trowel. Spray equipment should be avoided because the material chemically reacts with water, and will set up in this type of equipment. Finishes: Spackling Compound can be decorated with hand tools or other plaster decorative tools. Material should be primed prior to painting or applying wall covering. Dry time: Allow 90 minutes for product to set up. Dry time is approximately 12 hours depending on depth of repair and environmental conditions. Coverage (approximate): A 25lb. bag will cover approximately 5ft² at ¼" depth. Packaging: FSPK-548 1lb. pail 12/case 14lbs. FSPK-549 5lb. pail 9/case 47lbs. FSPK-550 25lb. bag 25.2lbs.
