Description: Wel-Cote Rapid Bond Lite 20-45-90 Minute is a dry compound with a choice of setting times. Wel-Cote Rapid Bond Lite is lighter weight and easier to sand than conventional powders. These products allow same-day finishing for earlier decorating. Wel-Cote Rapid Bond Lite may be used for embedding joint tape and corner bead in finishing drywall. The 20-minute set may be helpful to painting contractors for quick touch-up patching prior to painting most interior surfaces. It has excellent bond with low shrinkage.

Mixing: Very easy to mix. Containers and tools must be completely clean. Water should be cool and of drinking water quality. Do not mix more material than can be used within the above working times. Slowly add powder to water, stirring thoroughly until smooth. Allow material to set a few minutes, then adjust with water or powder for the desired working consistency. An 18-lb. bag requires 10-12 pints of water.

Application: Apply Wel-Cote Rapid Bond Lite in uniform thickness. It should be smooth before setting begins. Additional coats may be applied when the preceding coat has hardened, even though it is not completely dry. Clean tools with water immediately after use before material hardens.

Sanding: Wet sanding is recommended to eliminate dust and scuffing of joint tape and paper. Dry sanding should be done with a 150-grit (or finer) sandpaper or a 200-grit abrasive mesh cloth. Wel-Cote Rapid Bond Lite sands more easily than conventional setting type powder compounds.

Decorating: All surfaces must be completely dry and primed before painting, texturing or wall covering. After surfaces are dry, apply Wel-Cote Latex Primer Sealer as a first coat. Always follow manufacturer’s directions for application of finish decorating products.

Shelf Life: Store in a cool dry area until used.

Caution: Avoid getting in eyes. If dry sanding, wear a NIOSH or MSHA approved dust mask and safety glasses.

Limited Warranty: This product is warranted to be uniform and of the highest quality. Welco shall not assume any responsibility, directly or indirectly, for any loss caused by application of this product not in accordance with directions. All labor costs are excluded from this warranty. Welco liability under this warranty shall in no case exceed the purchase price of the quantity of Welco product used with respect to which damages may be claimed. All claims shall be considered null and void unless submitted within 30 days from date of alleged defect.
